IOS 175 Bug Re-emerges Permanently Deleted Photos
JAKARTA The iOS 17.5 update released on May 14 includes bugs that must be fixed by Apple. Although not related to the system, this feature could be annoying or troublesome for some users. A Reddit user, quoted from 9to5mac, reported the problem on their Photo app after updating the iOS version. The iPhone user said that the photo that had been deleted a few years ago suddenly reappeared without being restored. "When talking to my partner, I wanted to send a photo and see that the last photo is an NSFW (Not Safe For Work) photo that we deleted a few years ago when we lived separately," wrote the user. The findings of this deleted photo are quite strange because the photos have been permanently deleted a few years ago. This problem shows that the photo that has been deleted, either permanently or not, will not be completely deleted from the system. Other users have also complained of similar problems. It says that there are photos resurfaced in iCloud, even though those photos have been deleted more than a decade ago. Even though they have been deleted, these photos have continued to reappear. "It's the same (with me) here. I have four photos from 2010 that continue to reappear as recent photos uploaded to iCloud. I have deleted them repeatedly (but their photos continue to reappear), "wrote other users. Other Reddit users report the same thing. Not a few of them say that the emerging photos have been deleted a year or even a few years ago. This problem has made some users question their privacy.

All Photo apps, both on Android and on iOS, have a New Deleted feature. This feature will save all deleted photos for 30 days. If the photo is left for more than 30 days, the photos should be permanently deleted. Therefore, many are confused by photos re-emerging on their phones. To date, Apple has not commented and many iPhone users are worried about their privacy and data storage.
