The Phenomenon Of Wild Jukir In Semarang Should Not Let The Wrong Retribution Enter The Pocket
JAKARTA - Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu asked the local transportation office to divetor or re-register the presence of parking attendants (jukir) in ATLAS City (Aman, Orderly, Smooth, Asri, and Healthy).
"We are asking the Transportation Agency to make an inventory again. Because there are many more, there are wild jukir," said Hevearita, quoting ANTARA, Sunday, May 19.
According to him, Semarang City is a tourist destination city and transit city so the potential for parking retribution is very large.
"Retribution receipts must increase. 'It's impossible for cars to add, but PAD (regional revenue) targets the retribution to decrease," said Ita.
Therefore, he asked for PAD potential from the retribution sector to be studied, including the existence of jukir, to be adjusted to the number of parking points in Semarang City.
For parking inside the building, he said, such as hotels, malls, and markets are currently more organized.

"If the offstreet parking is more organized, such as hotels, malls, and markets. However, for roadside parking, it must be put in order," he said.
Several roads, he said, had implemented an electronic parking payment system. However, the current implementation is still not optimal.
"These electronic workers sometimes (road users, ed.) are lazy to be told to eat, instead they are better off paying (cash, ed.). I ask everyone to evaluate it to get high levies," he said.
By paying cash, he said, the potential for leakage of parking fees would be more vulnerable so that it would be more effective if the implementation of electronic systems. However, the realization in the field must be carried out in accordance with the rules.
"It's like (the moon, ed.) right now there are a lot of long weekends. Some are up to 4 days. It's a full hotel every night, not a tourist spot, the Old City. Surely (parking fees, ed.) must be evaluated again," he concluded.
