Fish Finder Found Dead Floating In Ciliwung River, Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - Risman (20), a fish finder, was found dead floating in the Ciliwung River in the Dukuh Atas area, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on Sunday, May 19, after being drowned.

The victim previously drowned in Ciliwung River, Cikoko Village, Pancoran District, South Jakarta. The victim's body was only found as far as 13 KM from the scene.

After a search was carried out, the victim's body was finally found by the joint SAR team after being reported missing and drowned since last Friday, May 17.

Reports of victims drowning because on Saturday, May 18, the victim was awaited by the family but did not return home until Saturday night at around 20.00 WIB.

However, the victim's family received information from local residents that the tires used by the victim to fish were still at the scene. The victim's family also reported the incident to the officer for a search.

"We found the victim, then we immediately evacuated the body to the funeral home for us to hand it over to the family," said the Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as the SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR operation, Desiana Kartika Bahari when confirmed, Sunday, May 19.

The victim's body was found during a sweep along the Ciliwung River using a rubber boat up to a radius of 13 KM from the scene.

"The victim's body was floating on the surface of the Ciliwung river, precisely in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta, at approximately a radius of 13 km from the scene," he said.

The search for victims involved dozens of joint SAR personnel, including those consisting of the Jakarta Basarnas, East Jakarta BPBD and others.
