The Cheap Palm Oil Buyers Factory Will Be Reprimanded By The Government
JAKARTA - The Agriculture Office of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, will write to all palm oil factories that violate the rules because they buy farmers' palm fruit at a lower price compared to the pricing price of the provincial government of Rp. 2,500 per kilogram. "Our plan is to write to palm oil mills and ask for oil palm fruit according to the determination of the provincial government," said the Coordinator for Plantation of the Agriculture Office of Mukomuko Supradinata Regency, quoted from Antara, Sunday, May 19. The Mukomuko Regency Agriculture Service has received data on the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) palm oil on May 18, 2024 from as many as 11 palm oil mills spread across this area. Of the 11 palm oil mills in this area, he said, as many as 10 factories purchased palm oil TBS at a price of Rp2,100-Rp2,300 per kilogram and one factory of Rp1,950 per kg. The purchase price of palm oil TBS by the palm oil mill is cheaper than the price of the provincial government's determination of Rp. 2,500 per kilogram. He said that the previous provincial government had written to all factories to buy palm oil TBS in accordance with the price set by the government, but it was not responded to. Meanwhile, the reasons for the factory to buy palm oil palm TBS were lower, he said, one of which was because palm fruit sold by farmers was less scaling and less redement.
