BKAD Bandarlampung: Our Financial Management Is Better

JAKARTA - The Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot) stated that regional financial management in 2023 was better than in previous years because it received Unqualified (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of Lampung.

"The 2023 financial management has been audited by the BPK and the city government has obtained the WTP opinion, where in previous years it was only Fair with Exceptions (WDP)," said Head of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency (BKAD) M Nur Ramdhan, ANTARA, Sunday, May 19.

He also explained that if there is a presumption that the budget used is not reasonable by certain parties, it is not true, because the procedures used in determining the budget are in accordance with the rules set by the central government.

"The problem is that if it turns out that there are irregularities, corruption, and misappropriation of the budget, if indeed what happened was true, it would not be known by the BPK auditor," he said.

According to him, the BPK must have found irregularities, irregularities or corruption, if there were irregularities in the report submitted by the city government, although in reality there were no important problems as a result of the auditor.

"Even if there is something that needs to be improved, it's called a management system, it's growing, the year is getting better," he said.

Then, Ramdhan also emphasized that related to the magnitude and the number of users had been discussed with the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Bandarlampung City to the Lampung Provincial DPRD.

"This means that if there is a budget that is considered unreasonable, for example, my friends at the council will definitely ask for rationalization, as well as during the evaluation process in the province," he said.

Therefore, the Head of the Bandarlampung BKAD emphasized that the news regarding Lampung Corruption Watch (LCW) which reported alleged corruption in the use of the 2023 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) to the Indonesian Attorney General's Office was not appropriate or inaccurate with the truth.

"Compared to other regencies and cities, we are also much better off, such as regarding the payment of holiday allowances (THR), tukin, grants to Bawaslu, other regions may not have implemented it but in Bandar Lampung City everything has been completed. It shows that our financial management is much better than in previous years," he said.
