AHY Claims World Bank Participants Are Positive For Agrarian Legal Certainty In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that the legal certainty of land rights for ease of investment in Indonesia was positively welcomed by participants of the World Bank Land Conference Forum in the United States (US).

"Alhamdulillah, we received positive responses from various parties, both from world banks and countries participating in the conference in the US yesterday," said Minister AHY, ANTARA, Sunday, May 19.

According to him, the interest of foreign investors is very large after obtaining clarity on the ease of investment through legal certainty of land rights that will be given by the Indonesian government.

"This is also the main goal in participating in the Word Bank conference, as providing clarity on legal certainty on land rights for land owners and for economic interests such as corporations or companies," he said.

He said, during the agenda of the Word Bank conference in the US, his party provided socialization regarding legal certainty on land rights and ease of investment.

This is the government's effort to achieve the ideals of Indonesia Gold in 2045.

"Don't let Indonesia be large and wide in land and have the potential to become a commercial industry, eventually moving to other countries," he said.

In addition, said AHY, his agenda was to attend the world bank's invitation to share Indonesia's success story of registering more than 100 million land parcels, and this is one of the largest in the world.

"So it is an honor given to Indonesia to convey the success story in land administration or agrarianism," he said.

"We must also have a climate or a good, competitive and promising investment ecosystem. And in the end, we can support Indonesia's economic growth," he said.
