Police Examine Wife Of Ministry Of Transportation Official Regarding Blasphemy

JAKARTA - The police investigated Vany Kosasih, the wife of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) official, regarding the alleged blasphemy committed by her husband, AK. Vany was examined in his capacity as a reporting witness.

"Today we want to be examined for information," said Vany's attorney, Sunan Kalijaga, to reporters, Friday, May 17.

Not only Vany, the reporter for the blasphemy case named Feriyawansyah was also questioned by investigators from the Kamneg Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

"We were summoned to hear our statement. That it is true that we had reported here with evidence of receipt of this police report," he continued.

Previously, it went viral on social media allegations of blasphemy by officials from the Merauke Ministry of Transportation.

In the post, a photo of AKS's face (initials) appears, an official at the Airport Authority (Otban) X Merauke area. There is a photo in question standing in a sarong.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indardi said he had received the report on Wednesday, May 15.

"We received a report on the alleged blasphemy case against AK's brother in the police report," said Ade Ary when confirmed, Friday, May 17.
