Competitors Rely On Swap Battery, Alva Reveals Reasons For Using Charging System
JAKARTA - Alva has introduced a number of electric motorbikes for its consumers in Indonesia. Not only that, the models presented have several differences with other two-wheeled vehicle brands.
Its competitors use swap or swap model batteries, while the brand under the auspices of PT Ilectra Motor Group adopts a planting or charging system battery. However, they have several reasons not to use the battery swap system.
Alva Putu Yudha's Chief Marketing Officer, said these two systems had shortages and advantages, but he assessed that charging adoption has advantages such as being able to accommodate larger battery sizes that affect the performance of electric motors.
"The excess is because the battery is not swabbed, so the battery can be bigger. So we can design the top speed, range according to the needs of the city, and can be used to climb. That's the reason," said Putu in Bintaro, Tangerang, Thursday, May 16.

He also explained that the weakness if electric motors use a swap system, one of which only uses small-dimensional batteries, will affect vehicle performance and the availability of uneffective swap battery stations.

One of Alva's electric motors, namely Cervo, is a 73.8 V 24 Ah battery or 1.8 kWh which can cover a distance of 125 km for two versions of the battery and can charge in just 4 hours.
