Meta Wants To Create AI-Based Earbuds That Have Cameras

JAKARTA After giving birth to Ray-Ban smart glasses, Meta plans to create smart earbuds and add cameras in it. Reportedly, this audio technology will also be supported by Artificial Intelligence. Reported for the first time by The Information, unnamed employees say that Meta is exploring opportunities for the creation of smart earbuds. This project, which is being explored, is named Cameraabards, a combination of Cameras and earbuds. According to the employee's explanation, Meta is trying to create Cameraabals that can identify objects and translate foreign languages with the help of AI. Apparently, this technology is designed to be a traveling companion to various countries. The creation of this Camerabards is not something surprising. Many companies are working on the creation of AI-based wearable devices. Samsung is also doing the same thing, but they are focused on creating smart rings. Meta seems not satisfied with the success of Ray-Ban smart glasses some time ago. These glasses became very popular in social media because many artists and influencers bought and exhibited their devices in the form of challenge. The company that oversees Facebook and Instagram may want to achieve success again by presenting unusual technology. However, so far, the leaked Camerabuds feature has been found in Ray-Ban smart glasses.

At the end of April, Meta added virtual Meta AI assistant to the Ray-Ban smart glasses update. With AI support, these glasses can translate menus in foreign languages and can provide the user's desired information. These glasses can also receive questions about objects that the camera detects. Interestingly, Meta AI embedded into Ray-Ban glasses can provide suggestions that help users in their activities.
