Google Adds Complete Coverage Feature, Makes It Easier For You To Understand The Context Of The News
JAKARTA - Hoaxes often arise due to incomplete information. A piece of information made into the news with a bombastic title. Then it is shared by the wider community so that it is considered as truth.
In fact, this information is out of context. From a background that includes certain events or incidents. And this context is what Google is offering through the Google News feature update called Full Coverage.
Through this feature, those of you who are accustomed to searching for information via Google can get news articles with more complete information. Starting from the background, the process of the incident, to the impact.
For those of you who don't know, the Complete Coverage feature has actually been released by Google since 2018. Basically, the way this feature works is by combining all sources related to a particular topic on one page.
That way, users can get sufficient information related to certain topics. Instead of information that comes from one or two sources only.

Since its introduction, Google has tried repeatedly to embed this feature in search results. According to the company, when you search for certain information, you can see the articles in the form of a carousel at the very top of the search results.
The carousel serves to highlight articles that are considered relevant to the topic being searched for.
“As for news containing big issues that are developing, you can take advantage of the Complete Coverage page after swiping the screen to the end of the main news carousel. Or you can also access it by selecting 'Complete news about…' right below the carouse”, explained Google through their official blog.
Unfortunately, this feature is currently only available for the mobile version. The Complete Coverage feature can only be accessed by Google users residing in the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Google emphasizes that they would release the Full Coverage feature to more countries and cover more languages. But it takes several months to do that.
