Police Suicide In Alphard Car: South Jakarta Police Do Not Reveal Motives And Goals For Victims In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The death of a member of the Manado Police Traffic Unit, Brigadier Ridhal Ali Tomi in the Toyota Alphard car still raises a question mark. Unfortunately, even though the police held a press conference, many things were not revealed. One of them is the motive.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, only explained why family member Brigadier Ridhal Ali Tomi refused to be autopsied.

According to AKBP Bintoro, the family refused to be autopsied because they had seen it through CCTV, and it was seen that the victim's body was still intact.

"The family came here, we explained. We convey the available evidence related to this CCTV as well as explained from the mother of a forensic doctor, Mrs. Asri," explained AKBP Bintoro to reporters, Monday, April 29.

"After they (the family) found out that this was a suicide incident, they refused to carry out an autopsy," he continued.

Furthermore, the body was brought by the family to North Sulawesi for burial.

Meanwhile, regarding why Brigadier Ali was in Jakarta, Bintoro was reluctant to answer. He asked to ask the Manado Police. The reason is, the issue of service or permission for leave is the domain of the Manado Police.

"If the person concerned is there for the purpose of duty (or not) it is a member of the Manado Police so that he is more competent, he is asked directly to the unit there. So we are here to prove whether this is an incident," he said.
