Today's Memory, April 23, 2015: Slash After Class, High School Children's Bikini Party In Jakarta Criticized By KPAI

JAKARTA - Memories of today, nine years ago, April 23, 2015, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) condemned plans for a bikini party in a swimming pool for high school students. The theme "Splash After Class" event is considered a destroyer of the younger generation.

Previously, the whole of Indonesia was shocked by advertisements that appeared in cyberspace regarding plans for a bikini party at The Media Hotel & Towers swimming pool, Jakarta. The event was held to celebrate the graduation of the national exam (UN) for high school students. The information was immediately flooded with criticism.

The plan for a bikini party made by the Divine Production with the theme "Splash After Class" shocked the virtual world. Real party information will be held at The Media Hotel & Towers, Central Jakarta on April 25, 2015, which is considered uncivilized.

Floods of criticism also occurred. This condition was exacerbated by the contents of the pamphlet which said the activity was supported by various schools in Jabodetabek, from SMA 12 Jakarta to SMA 8 Bekasi. No one confirmed the plan for the bikini party.

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) also spoke up. He actually did not prohibit students from celebrating the completion of the UN. As long as it is in accordance with the rules and norms that apply in the community. However, not with a bikini party.

The bikini party is considered to have gone too far. Even though the one who initiated the initiative was not a student, but an event organizer (EO). He revealed that he would investigate further regarding the organizers. As an anticipatory measure, Ahok also spread the order to every school in Jakarta.

Anyone who joins a bikini party that is considered the destroyer of the generation will be dealt with firmly. The sanction given is not to cut off their access to higher education. The sanctions were commensurate because the actions taken helped damage the younger generation.

"Oh, you can't have a bikini party, huh. That's not true if it's a bikini party. Arrested. There is an immoral Criminal Code, really. If they have passed, models (students) like that don't need to be given access to colleges, they shouldn't enter state universities, for example, given sanctions," Ahok said as quoted by the CNN Indonesia page, April 23, 2015.

The criticism did not only come from Ahok. The chairman of KPAI, Asrorun Niam, also criticized the plan for a bikini party on April 23, 2015. He considers the organizers and hotels to be responsible. He saw that the event could damage the younger generation.

Asrorun asked the police to act immediately. Because, if left unchecked, this action will bring great harm to future generations. This wish was expressed because there was also a video that was distributed about the Divine's birthday which consisted of young bikini parties.

Young people are seen dancing, kissing, and holding bottles of liquor. A sight that violates the norms ofleadingness. The video was uploaded by the Youtube account The38 which was released on June 17, 2014.

"Hotels seek profit by destroying generations. Police also need to act," said Niam as quoted by the Tempo.co page, April 23, 2015.
