East Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-dept. Says There Is A Decline In Newcomers After Lebaran Return

Head of the East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept. (Kasudin Dukcapil), Naufan noted a decline in newcomers to the return flow of Eid homecoming in 2024 compared to 2023.

"In 2023 there were 41,970 immigrants and 69,949 people moved," said Naufan when confirmed, Friday, April 19.

Meanwhile, in 2024 from January to March, it was recorded that 5,700 people moved and only 2,400 people came.

"So half of those who moved, so you can see that now it tends to decline," he said.

The decline in residents in East Jakarta has occurred since 2020 until now. Many residents have moved to areas outside Jakarta.

Even so, Naufan appealed if there were new residents in East Jakarta to immediately report to his party for recording and collecting data.

Later, the East Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-dept. will also be specifically collected or population development operations.

"Indeed, we did not collect data specifically, but the people who came to us could describe whether newcomers or not," he said.
