This Afternoon, 2,713 Joint Officials Guard The Demonstration At Monas

The Central Jakarta Metro Police have again deployed thousands of troops to secure the demonstration at the horse statue in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, Friday, April 19.

"We are ready to secure residents who will express opinions. We have deployed 2,713 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed.

Thousands of joint forces deployed consisted of the Police, TNI, Pol PP and Dishub. Officers will be divided into several security points around Monas.

"Anyone who will express their opinion in public, as stipulated in the law on conveying the opinion of the rights of every citizen, must of course pay attention to other public rights, so that the rules in the law on expressing opinions in public, please obey them so that all activities run safely and conducively," he said.

Kombes Susatyo also appealed to joint personnel to those involved in security to always act persuasively, not to be provoked, to prioritize negotiations, services and humaneism.
