Zaskia Gotix's Husband, Sirajuddin Machmud, Never Transferd Rp. 18 Million To Arif Yahya

JAKARTA - Sirajuddin Machmud, the husband of dangdut singer Zaskia Gotik, was dragged into the corruption case in the construction of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika Regency, Papua. Today, Thursday, April 18, Sirajuddin was presented as a witness by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

During the trial, Sirajuddin was asked about evidence of money transfers made by him to one of the defendants in the Kingmi Mile 32 Church corruption case, namely Arif Yahya. He admitted that he had forgotten to send money to Arif and only remembered when it was shown by KPK investigators.

"As far as I remember, but when I was questioned at the KPK yesterday, investigators showed that I had transferred twice to Arif's account," said Sirajuddin Machmud at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday, April 18.

Based on the prosecutor's statement, the amount of money transferred by Sirajuddin was Rp. 18 million, with details of Rp. 3 million and Rp. 15 million at different times.

This 41-year-old man admitted that he forgot the reason he sent the money to Arif Yahya's account. The reason is that with that amount of money he never checked the need for the transfer of money for what.

"If I transfer if I give the person, I forget what for. But usually if the value is that much, I might give it or he asked," explained Sirajuddin Machmud.

"I frankly don't remember why I'm only used to that much value, which might ask me to give it or maybe it's clear that if I do it outside of work or whatever, I've never had any contact with them," he continued.

Even so, after undergoing trial as a witness with evidence of the money transaction, Sirajuddin firmly stated that he was not involved in the corruption case.

"According to my statement, I don't know anything about this project. I've heard it before. Just wait for the time to clear," he concluded.
