Honda Introduces Series Ye, Company's First EV Model For China Market

JAKARTA - Recently, Honda officially introduced the latest electric vehicle model series, namely Ye. The line of models is only available for the Chinese market and will be exhibited at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Beijing Auto Show) at the end of this month.

According to the company's official website, Wednesday, April 17, the Ye series comes in three models, namely Ye P7, Ye S7, and Ye GT Concept. The company from Japan plans to launch six models from this series in 2027.

The Ye P7 and Ye S7 models were built on the EV platform which was developed specifically and were present in two variants, namely the driving of a single motor rear wheel and the driving of all double motorcycle wheels.

Honda claims that these variations are designed to create excitation in driving'. Furthermore, rear wheels drivers have the characteristics of sporty driving and sharp as well as four-wheel drive offers great power and are more responsive.

Both models offer extensive cabin space allowing front and rear seat passengers to enjoy maximum driving comfort. In addition, users will be spoiled with AI sophistication that can change the LED light emission pattern on instrument panels and door panels.

Meanwhile, the Ye GT Concept model is the highest version of this series. Presented with a low and wide' silhouette according to the name GT (Grand Tourer) as well as a driver seat designed like a racing car, this model is designed to focus on dynamic performance.

Front seat passengers will be offered with a remote focus display that gives a deep impression and experience as if looking at a large screen. This system will be introduced for the first time in Honda car products.

Ye P7 and Ye S7 are scheduled to enter the Chinese market by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, the production version of the Ye GT Concept is sold before the end of 2025.

Seri Ye is one form of Honda's commitment to creating zero-emission mobility. This is in line with the company's global vision of neutralizing carbon on all product lines and production activities by 2050.

In addition, the manufacturer with the 'H' logo plans to introduce 10 EV models in China by 2027 and make electric vehicles represent 100 percent of car sales in the bamboo curtain country by 2035.
