Jasa Marga Implements 20% Discount On Trans Java Toll Tariffs For Eid Backflow From Semarang To Jakarta
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk announced that they will impose a 20% discount on toll rates for all groups of vehicles passing on the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Jakarta during the Lebaran backflow period. This decision was taken to optimize traffic distribution and prevent overcrowding on toll roads.
Jasa Marga Marketing and Communication Department Head, Faiza Riani, explained that the toll tariff cut will take effect from Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 05.00 WIB to Friday, April 19, 2024 at 05.00 WIB. This section aims to reduce traffic pressure during the backflow period, especially from D+2 to D+4 of Eid Al-Fitr.
"For people who still have time to shift their travel time, they can take advantage of the time to apply this toll rate cut, to avoid areas that have the potential to become congestion points on Jasa Marga Group toll roads, especially from Semarang to Jakarta," said Faiza.
The toll rate discount of 20% only applies to continuous travel, where road users have to tap in from GT Kalikangkung and tap out at GT Cikampek Utama. Faiza emphasized that tariff cuts only apply to transactions that use electronic money (e-Toll).
Faiza also advises road users to ensure a minimum e-Toll balance of IDR 500,000 before starting the trip, to avoid a balance shortage when making transactions at GT Cikampek Utama and avoid queues at toll gates.
"20 percent tariff cuts will be applied to all groups of vehicles," said Faiza.
