Homecoming Is Fun With SOEs In 2024, Pupuk Kaltim Facilitates 280 Homecomers From Bontang And Samarinda
JAKARTA - Increase commitment to providing benefits and blessings to the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) again held a free homecoming program for the community, entitled " Fun Homecoming with SOEs 2024". This program is carried out simultaneously by all companies in the Pupuk Indonesia Group environment, in each area of the operating base of each company.
Especially for Pupuk Kaltim, the free homecoming group was released by the Company Management ranks together with the Mayor of Bontang Basri Rase at the East Kalimantan Pupuk Sports Center, with the direct command of the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, live from Jakarta, Saturday, April 6.
SVP Corporate Secretary of Pupuk Kaltim, Teguh Ismartono, said that the Fun Homecoming with SOEs program is an annual agenda for companies to provide benefits, especially in welcoming Eid al-Fitr through the provision of transportation facilities for travelers to their respective hometowns.
"This program is also an effort to reduce the number of accidents and congestion on the highway during the Eid al-Fitr 2024 homecoming period, while ensuring that SOEs are present for public services on religious holidays," said Teguh.
Teguh explained, this year's Pupuk Kaltim free homecoming program accommodates 280 travelers from Bontang, with land transportation routes. This year's program targets four destinations, namely Bontang-Balikpapan, Bontang-Samarinda, Samarinda-Banjarmasin and Bontang-Banjarmasin. Total Pupuk Kaltim deployed seven bus fleets, to facilitate the community from Bontang and Samarinda, so that they could go home with their families to their hometowns.
"Hopefully the Fun Homecoming Program with SOEs this year can bring benefits and goodness to the community. Congratulations on going home, hopefully always being given health, blessed with safety and being able to gather with family," Teguh added.
The Mayor of Bontang Basri Rase, appreciated the continuity of Pupuk Kaltim's commitment and concern in providing free homecoming services for the community, as a form of benefit that was felt directly in welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1445 H. This free homecoming service is considered effective in unraveling the potential for congestion and risk of road travel for travelers, so that people can stay in touch with their families in their hometowns.
"We thank Pupuk Kaltim for providing free homecoming services every year for the community. For travelers, we urge always to maintain security and order during the trip to their destination. Happy Eid and greetings to the family in the village," said Basri Rase.
He also hopes that this program will continue every year, because the benefits are directly felt by people who want to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns. This program is considered right on target, especially easing the burden on people who want to go home but are constrained by costs.
"Hopefully this program will continue with a much more route in the future. The Bontang City Government is very supportive of this program to provide services and convenience for the community in welcoming Eid al-Fitr," said Basri.
One of Ruslan's homecoming participants, said that the Pupuk Kaltim program is very useful for himself and his family to be able to stay in touch in their hometown on Eid al-Fitr this year. The man who works as a transport worker at this port admits that he is very helpful, especially with the registration process which is fairly easy with very good facilities for travelers.

"The conditions are very easy, we only attach photocopy of ID cards and families during registration. Thank God it was accepted so that we can participate in this year's Pupuk Kaltim free homecoming," said Ruslan.
This resident of Belimbing Village, West Bontang, also said that thanks to the Fun Homecoming with SOEs program, he was able to go home to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan by bringing his wife and two children along. He also hopes that this program will be held by Pupuk Kaltim every year, with the addition of travel routes such as sea routes, so that more and more underprivileged residents like himself who want to go home outside East Kalimantan are helped and facilitated.
"Because this program is a hope for us to be able to go home with our families, because it is very helpful. Like this year, I can bring my children and wife back to their hometowns for Eid," concluded Ruslan.
