Police Prepare Traffic Engineering In Semarang If There Is A Surge In Vehicles After One Way On The Cikampek Utama Toll Road
Central Java Police (Central Java) has prepared a possibility of imposing a one-way route starting from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang City, to the Bawen Toll Gate, Semarang Regency.
Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ahmad Luthfi said the policy was implemented in the event of a surge in vehicle flow after the national one-way system was implemented on the Cikampek Utama Toll Road.
"After the one-way system, it turns out that there is an increase in the current above 3,000 vehicles in a row per hour at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, which will be extended," he said in Semarang, Friday, April 5, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to him, the implementation of a one-way system in the local area of Central Java is the authority of the Traffic Director for its control.
"One direction will be extended to Bawen. If it is still not long enough, until Tingkir, Salatiga," he added.
When implementing a one-way system from Jakarta to Semarang, he said, all vehicles that will be heading to the west will be diverted through the arterial route.

According to him, the rise of homecoming flows from the Jakarta area via toll roads is expected to begin on Friday afternoon.
"We always coordinate with Cikampek. If there it starts to get crowded, later we can count it in Kalikangkung," he said.
As of Friday afternoon, he continued, there had not been a surge in the flow of vehicles from the west entering the Kalikangkung Toll Gate.
"Anyway, we are ready at any time. The increase is expected to occur tonight until tomorrow," he said.
