Mataram Police Unload Cases Of Child Exploitation Made By LC In Night Entertainment Places

Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara revealed a case of alleged exploitation of women who are still children as workers at a cafe nightclub in the Suranadi area, West Lombok Regency.

Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim Kompol Made Yogi Purusa Utama, said that his party revealed this from the results of routine activities which were increased during the momentum of Ramadan 1445 Hijri.

"In the activity, a number of comfort women were found accompanying guests to drink," said Yogi as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 1.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the comfort women did not work under the auspices of the cafe owner. "The work of the freelance system," he said.

In the operation which took place on Saturday night (30/3), the police secured 10 people to the Mataram Police. They are women who are entertainers and cafe managers with the initials DS, women (22), from Lendang Ara Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok.

"When conducting further examinations at the Mataram Police, one of them was found to be a minor, still 17 years old. Still under 18 years old, there is no ID card (resident identity card)," he said.

The 17-year-old girl is known to have the initials SA living in Central Lombok. Meanwhile, DS is currently still under police interrogation. The Mataram Police Satreskrim has not yet determined the status of DS in the alleged exploitation case.

"The status has not been determined, we will see from the series of examinations whether the two pieces of evidence have been fulfilled," he said.

ogi said this examination was related to the issue of payroll, whether they were included in or not in the payment note.

Investigation is also about the work system that DS applies to minors.
