Considered Disturbing Order, Police Disbanded Youth Illegal Running Racing In Tasikmalaya
TASIKMALAYA - The police dispersed the illegal racing action in Tasikmalaya which was carried out by a number of young people on Thursday, March 28. The activity is considered disturbing to the public.
Head of the Samapta Unit of the Tasikmalaya City Police, AKP Hartono, said that illegal racing activities carried out on the streets disrupted comfort, security, and public order.
"We disbanded the illegal racing before the sahur located on Jalan Raya Major Utarya, Tawang District," Hartono said in Tasikmalaya, Thursday, March 28, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said running races that are held on public roads or wild are often a tradition carried out by young people during the momentum of the month of Ramadan in Tasikmalaya City.
The activity, he said, had to be disbanded by the police because it was considered to cause a crowd or commotion, and was even known to be a bet or gambling for the players.

Furthermore, the police, such as the Maung Galunggung Patrol Team, who received this information, immediately moved to the location and secured dozens of youths involved in the race.
The police provide education and guidance to the young people involved in the running race not to repeat it again because it disturbs public order, especially when it is held on the highway can be dangerous.
"We convey that the ban on running on the highway disrupts traffic and disturbs the public," he said.
Hartono also appealed to the people of Tasikmalaya City to jointly maintain the comfort and security of the community, especially now in the month of Ramadan which should increase worship activities.
"Our commitment is to follow up on all forms of kamtibmas disturbances, so that people can carry out worship in the month of Ramadan with full sincerity and comfort," he said.
