Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Praises the Struggle of Hamas and Gaza Residents Against Israel
JAKARTA - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei promised steadfast support for the resilience of the people of Gaza, praising their resistance to the Israeli occupation in a meeting with a Hamas delegation led by the Head of the Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh.
"The historic patience shown by the people of Gaza in the face of crimes and brutality committed by the Zionist regime, with the full support of the West, is a major phenomenon that truly upholds Islam and regardless of the wishes of the enemy, it has made Palestine the main issue in the world," said Khamenei, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, March 27.
Underlining the massacre of Gazans and genocide in the Palestinian enclave, Khamenei said Iran would not hesitate to support the Palestinian cause and its oppressed people.
On that occasion, Khamenei also emphasized the importance of supporting global public opinion and public opinion from the Islamic world, especially the Arab world, for the people of Gaza. He also called for continued efforts to further improve these measures.
Meanwhile, Haniyeh on this occasion expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support of the people and the Government of the Republic of Iran for the Palestinian struggle, especially the people of Gaza.

"The exemplary patience and steadfastness shown by the people of Gaza and the resistance forces over the past six months, stemming from their firm belief, have prevented the Zionist enemy from achieving its strategic objectives in the Gaza war," he said.
"Despite all the brutality, crimes and genocide that continue to occur in Gaza, the people of Gaza and the resistance forces remain steadfast and will not allow the Zionist enemy to carry out their actions to achieve their goals at any cost," he stressed.
