It Took 22 Minutes 7 Members Of The South Lampung Fire Department To Catch A 4 Meter Sanja Snake Spending Residents' Chickens

South Lampung Regency Fire and Rescue Service (Damkarmat) officers managed to evacuate a four-meter-long batik python that entered a resident's livestock farm in Kalianda District.

Head of the Fire Department of the South Lampung Fire Department, Rully Fikriansyah, confirmed that his party had evacuated pythons that were troubling the local community.

"This morning the officers evacuated the python in Gang Palem, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency, and the snake is a python with a length of four meters," he said in Kalianda, South Lampung, Friday, March 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the Damkarmat rescue team received reports of pythons entering the residents' area on March 22, 2024 at around 07.20 WIB.

"Residents contacted Pos Kalida that there was a python. Picket members rushed to leave using PPE (Self-Protect) complete with snake sticks," he said.

Then his party immediately went to the crime scene (TKP) to carry out the evacuation process.

The four-meter-long python is known to have eaten a lot of residents' livestock, which is troubling the community in the neighborhood.

The rescue team, he said, consisted of seven people trying to catch the snake using existing equipment and finally the reptile animal was caught in about 22 minutes of life.

"The evacuation process will not take long, we only need about 22 minutes, evacuation from 07.23 WIB to 07.45 WIB," he said.

The owner of the house that the snake entered, Yudi, expressed concern about the discovery of the python that far away. There is a possibility that there are still many young snakes roaming around. But he still thanked the South Lampung Damkarmat Service for successfully evacuating the python.
