Train Passenger Travelers Limited To Bags, Maximum 20 Kg
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta urges travelers to limit the rules for passenger baggage to a maximum of 20 kg when they want to board the train from Gambir Station, Pasar Senen and Bekasi.
"Take baggage in accordance with the regulations that have been set and are not new regulations," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, Friday, March 22.
Ixfan told customers whose trunk exceeds these provisions, a fee of 10 thousand per kilogram will be imposed for the executive class, Rp. 6 thousand per kilogram for business class and Rp. 2 thousand for economic class.
In addition, customer luggage can be placed on the baggage rack above the seat or placed in another place that does not interfere and endangers other customers.
"Customers with luggage of more than 200 dm3 (70 x 48 x 60 cm) are not allowed to carry their luggage into the passenger train cabin and are advised to transport their goods using train expedition services such as KAI Logistics," he said.
Please note, items that are not allowed to be brought in as baggage include animals, psychotropic narcotics and other addictive substances, firearms/sharp weapons, flammable objects, exploding objects, rotten objects or objects that because of their nature can be disturbing and others.

In addition, Ixfan also reminded passengers regarding the use of electricity plug facilities available on every train seat, it can only be used to charge gadget devices such as cellphones, tablets, or laptops.
Ixfan said the use of tools outside of its designation could interfere with other passengers or potentially endanger the safety and comfort of train travel.
"In addition, the use of electronic devices with large electrical power is excessive and simultaneously, it is feared that it could interfere with the overall electricity function of the train," he said.
