These Are 3 Constitutional Court Judges Chosen By MA-DPR-President To Lead The 2024 Legislative Result Dispute Session
JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) revealed the names of three Constitutional Justices who will be chairman of the panel in the trial of the Application for Dispute in General Election Results (PHPU) for Members of the DPR and Members of the DPRD (Pileg).
"There are three chairmen of the panel, namely the Chairman (Suhartoyo), the Deputy (Saldi Isra), the other Professor Arief Hidayat," said Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court Saldi Isra at the Constitutional Court Building on Thursday, March 21 evening, confiscated by Antara.
The three, continued Saldi, were representatives of Constitutional Justices proposed by the Supreme Court (MA), the President, and the Indonesian House of Representatives.
"The chairman (Suhartoyo) from the Supreme Court, the Vice (Saldi Isra) was proposed by the President, and only one was from the DPR," he said.
There were three Constitutional Court Judges who were elected by the DPR, namely Arsul Sani, Arief Hidayat, and Guntur Hamzah. Saldi also revealed the reason Arief was elected as chairman of the panel of the three people.
"That's the most senior, having experience," he said.
Regarding the prediction of the number of participants in the 2024 Legislative Election who will file a lawsuit, Saldi said the Constitutional Court was still waiting for the total final number.
"In 2019, there were approximately 300 cases for the PHPU Pileg. We'll just have to wait," he said.

Previously, MK spokesman Fajar Laksono explained that the time for submitting applications for PHPU for Legislative Elections and PHPU for the presidential election was 3x24 hours.
For the application for the PHPU Pilleg case, the calculation scheme used is the hours since the KPU announced the president and vice president of the election, namely on Wednesday, March 20 evening at 22.19 WIB, so that the deadline for the application is Saturday, March 23 at 22.19 WIB.
As for the PHPU application for the presidential election, the calculation scheme used is a day, so the deadline for the application is on Saturday 23 March at 24.00 WIB.
