Sakinah, Woman Selling Fish Found Dead In Citarum River
JAKARTA - An elderly woman named Sakinah (69) was found drowned in the Citarum River, Sumbersari Village, Pebayuran District, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The victim is known to work as a fish trader. He drowned while crossing the Citarum River.
"Previously, Sakinah was the target of a search by a joint SAR team that combed the Citarum River. The joint SAR team divided the search area into two," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR operation, Desiana Kartika Bahari when confirmed, Thursday, March 21.
The first team conducted a search by using a rubber boat by combing the Citarum river up to a radius of 15 KM from the scene.
Then the second team conducted a visually ground search with observations along the banks of the Citarum river up to a radius of 5 km from the scene.

The victim's body was found after receiving information from the community who saw it in the Citarum River at a radius of 20 KM from the scene.
"The joint SAR team found the victim floating on the surface of the Citarum River. Then we evacuated it to the funeral home for us to leave it to the family," he said.
Then Sakinah's body was evacuated to the funeral home by the joint SAR Team. The joint SAR team involved in the search were the Jakarta Basarnas, Pebayuran Police, BPBD Bekasi district, Koramil 11 Pebayuran, the community and other SAR organizations.
