Jung Joon Young Free After Recording 5 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - Singer Jung Joon Young was released from prison after serving five years in prison. The Korea Herald reported that the K-pop singer was released from Mokpo prison, Jeolla today, Tuesday, March 19.
Jung Joon Young came out at 05.05 South Korean time. He wears a mask and black hat that covers his entire face.
He also wore sunglasses and walked quickly and did not talk to reporters waiting outside the prison.
It is not yet known whether Jung Joon Young will return to the entertainment industry after this case ends.
The Superstar K contestant was jailed after being found guilty of recording sexual videos and circulating videos secretly with 10 women. The news emerged after the police conducted an examination of Seungri regarding prostitution services.

Jung Joon Young admitted that he recorded several women without their permission and shared them in a message group with several South Korean public figures namely Seungri, Eddy Kim, Choi Jung Hoon, Roy Kim.
He and a number of his colleagues are claimed to have raped a drunk woman in 2016. Jung Joon Young was initially sentenced to six years in prison to five years in prison after pleading guilty.
He is also required to undergo rehabilitation for 80 hours related to sexual violence and their work will be limited to teenagers and children.
Jung Joon Young, who was convicted in 2019, also stated that he would withdraw from the South Korean entertainment industry. This coincides with his social media account being deleted by Instagram according to their rules.
