Mitsubishi Starwagon Burns In Front Of Gate 6 GBK Senayan, Officers Extinguish

A white Mitsubishi Starwagon with plate number B 2856 T suddenly caught fire on Jalan Jendral Sudirman, in front of Gate 6 of GBK Senayan, Gelora Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19, afternoon.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical short in the car. It is not yet known whether there were any injuries or fatalities as a result of this car fire.

The fire incident was reported to the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. office at around 10:52 WIB. Officers also deployed 1 fire engine with 3 personnel to the scene.

"The fire unit began localizing the fire at 11.01 WIB. The fire is still being extinguished," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed by VOI.

According to witness information, the vehicle fire occurred while the car was on its way across the scene.

Officers are still struggling to extinguish the fire until this afternoon.
