Hoaxes On Social Media Become Obstacles To Vaccinating Health Workers In Pidie Aceh
BANDA ACEH - Head of the Pidie Health Service Turno Junaidi said the vaccination process for the health workers in Pidie Regency, Aceh, was hampered by hoaxes from social media.
"Yes, we are constrained psychologically due to infodemics of untrue news on social media or cyberspace," said Turno Junaidi, as quoted by Antara, Monday, March 1.
A total of 4,102 people followed the first dose of vaccination in Pidie, reaching 4,102 people. Among them were 3,996 health workers and 16 other people from elements of the local government.
Especially for Pidie health workers, said Turno, the target was 6,705 people. However, due to several obstacles including failing to pass health screening as vaccine recipients, the number was only around 3,996 people.
"The remaining health workers who receive the first vaccine will be carried out later after they have received additional vaccines," said Turno.

"We just received 6,137 vials on Monday (1/2) and an additional 1,061 vials on Wednesday (24/2). Currently, for the second dose, we need another 1,012 vials," said Turno.
