Support The Revocation Of The Mangkrak Mining Permit, Aspebindo: If Inside There Is A Misappropriation, It Must Be Dealt With
The polemic of structuring and revocation of a number of Mining Business Permits (IUP) carried out by the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) No 1/2022 received mixed responses from entrepreneurs.According to the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Energy, Mineral and Coal Suppliers (Aspebindo) Anggawira, the revocation of mining business licenses for unproductive concessions is positive."We actually appreciate the revocation of mining business permits for unproductive concessions. This not only helps reorganize the mining sector, but also allocates natural resources more effectively, in accordance with economic needs and environmental sustainability," said Anggawira in his statement, Wednesday, March 6."The owners of the revoked permits are also given the opportunity to clarify or take legal action, this shows that the procedures taken have provided space for the owners of permits," he continued.Anggawira added that the firmness carried out by the Investment Acceleration Task Force and the Investment Use and Arrangement Task Force is indeed needed to provide warnings so that IUP owners do not allow their mining land and are not productive."In my opinion, the task force strictly organizes the IUP with this revocation, of course, we entrepreneurs will be more careful if we do not use mining land according to the rights given by the state, this also reduces the informal methods that often occur during the management of the IUP,” said Anggawira.
Responding to the news that Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, with her authority, used informal methods to restore the revoked IUP, Anggawira saw that this had to be proven. Because according to him, the IUP arrangement process also involves other institutional institutions that supervise each other."This task force is not only the Ministry of Investment, there are other state institutions involved to monitor each other, if there is a fraud, of course, strict action must be taken," he said.Previously, Minister Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the Investment Acceleration Task Force and the Investment Use and Arrangement Task Force had revoked 2,078 IUPs consisting of 1,776 mineral mining companies, including metal minerals, non-metal minerals, and rocks as well as 302 coal mining companies.
