TikTok Reorganizes Senior Executive Of TikTok, Focuses On Content Security

JAKARTA - The short video app TikTok owned by ByteDance will replace several senior executives including people running trust and security units that handle content moderation. This was reported by Information on Tuesday, February 27 citing people at the company and a memo sent to staff.

Adam Presser, head of app operations who reports to TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, will now oversee the trust and security team.

Last month, Schw testified before Congress alongside Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other heads of technology and media in a hearing. In the forum, congressional members accused the companies of failing to protect children from the threat of increasing sexual predation on their platforms.

Responding to a question from Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, TikTok CEO said the company would spend more than $2 billion to maintain trust and security efforts.

According to TikTok spokesman Cormac Keenan, who has led the global trust and security team, will now take on the role of strategic advisor in senior leadership teams.
