Google Search Settings Moved To Account Profile

JAKARTA Google has launched a new design for its search engine on the website. On the latest view, Google Search settings have been moved to the account menu section.

With this update done, users cannot find Settings in the navigation panel. The only way to access Settings is to click on the profile display in the top right corner of the screen or right next to the Google logo.

When the account profile is clicked, the user will see the full part of Google Search. This section consists of the Search History menu, Delete the Last 15 Minutes, Interests, SafeSearch filters, Languages, and Other Settings.

Search history offers a history deletion system in a fast way. Users can choose to delete history today, history with a special range, delete all history, or disable history delete.

Meanwhile, the Interest orInterestasi menu shows all once liked articles, topics or searches that are followed, and access to Stored locations. This display is much better on desktop than the website on Android.

The SafeSearch feature, which is placed under the Interest feature, can manage content you want to limit. This feature can enable or disable filters on images, text, and links that are vulgar or related to explicit sexual content.

Finally, in Additional Settings, users will see a row of settings consisting of Search Activities, Controls for Content, as well as other options related to Google accounts and Parental Control.

This update has already been rolled out to the public, both on desktop websites and mobile phones. The Settings display on the phone will fill the screen, while the Settings display on the desktop will be small and floating in the corner of the screen.
