Rumah BUMN Rembang Bantu Armida Sukses Promosikan Kain Nusantara
JAKARTA - The current trend is not only about technology. Cultural elements are also an element that creates pride, especially if they can be shown in the form of clothing or accessories that can attract attention.
This pride was also felt by Armida Triani, an MSME activist from Rembang, Central Java, who was pushed to promote the mix and mix of archipelago cloth in the design of contemporary clothes for children and babies with the Littlekaaya brand in 2019, which is now continuing to progress thanks to assistance from the GIS BUMN (RB) House in Rembang managed by PT Semen Gresik.
"Transactions in the baby and child fashion business are also faster than adults considering the fast development of children. Littlekaaya itself can sell 125 items with turnover of Rp. 15 million per month. Even when it is busy it can reach Rp. 35 million. Especially when it comes to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, demand will be higher than usual," said Armida Triani, who is familiarly called Armida, quoted on Tuesday, February 27.
Littlekaaya is a local brand from Rembang, Central Java, which offers baby and child fashion with the concept of East Asia with a touch of wastra or traditional archipelago cloth, ranging from shirts, sweaters, piama, party dresses, ethnic clothes, sandals, to vouchers and other accessories. Littlekaaya products are priced at varying prices, ranging from Rp. 70 thousand - Rp. 350 thousand.
Armida said that Littlekaaya products were made with high quality materials, as well as attractive and cheerful designs that were not consumed by the times and changing trends (timeless), comfortable to wear, and promoting archipelago cloth which is currently popular in various circles. So it is not surprising that Littlekaaya products are in demand by many people, especially mothers.
"Our product distribution is done through social media and marketplaces. We are trying to maximize all existing service features, such as live sales, with the knowledge we get from the training held by RB Rembang, such as digital marketing and public speaking, and the results are satisfactory. Many buyers from Jabodetabek, to outside Java, such as Lampung, Riau, Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Makassar and Papua," said Armida.
Since joining RB Rembang in 2021, Armida has indeed often received training, ranging from branding, digital marketing, public speaking, and finance. Armida also admitted that she is often facilitated to participate in exhibitions, such as the Future SMEs Village Side Event G20 in Bali in 2022, BUMN uRBan SUB Fest in the East Parking Plaza Surabaya in 2022, and Bazar UMKM for Indonesia in Sarinah Jakarta in 2023.
In addition, RB Rembang has also assisted in the SNI certification process (Indonesian National Standard). After SNI certification, we are currently also being accompanied in managing Intellectual Property Rights. For me, the presence of RB Rembang really helps MSMEs to progress by providing training and assistance to increase competitiveness so that they can advance to class," said Armida.
