Mercedes-Benz Update EQS This June, Bigger Battery And Traditional Grill
JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz is preparing to refresh EQS, its flagship electric vehicle launched in 2021. This facelift model will present a more luxurious look with a slim and classy traditional grip, as well as a new battery with a wider range.
It is known, in a company report throughout 2023 the passenger Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment has contributed positively to sales of 240,600 units, even an increase of 24 percent in the fourth quarter of last year as many as 66,300 units.
According to Autocar's report, Tuesday, February 27, Mercedes-Benz will offer two options for the EQS facelift. First, a slimmer traditional culll with Mercedes-Benz stars plastered on its surface. Second, a goal with panels integrated with Mercedes-Benz stars, for a sporty look.
"Some customers want to maintain a more sporting look and integrate the star into the panel, and we believe we want to have a more traditional look," said Ola Kallenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz.
The facelift EQS will also get a new battery with the latest chemical material. This battery is expected to significantly increase the range of the car. It is estimated that this battery upgrade package will be the same as the EQS SUV version, which has been upgraded from 108 kWh to 118 kWh.

In addition, the facelift EQS will also get executive seat options. It is likely that this option will be offered with two individual seats that can be donated to the back.
The facelift version of EQS will be available from June this year and is planned to be produced before the launch date.
