Mason Greenwood Will Reject Bacelona If Manchester United's Door Is Open
JAKARTA - Mason Greenwood is still considering Barcelona's offer to buy it permanently. He still wants to return to Manchester United.
So far, he is still seeing if Old Trafford's doors will be open to him at the end of this season. As is known, Greenwood has been on loan at Getafe from September 2023 to the competition.
The 22-year-old is not without reason prioritizing the Red Devils. He thinks he still owes Erik ten Hag and supporters a debt. Not surprisingly, he ruled out Barca's offer.
"Mason respects the decision Manchester United made to send him to Spain. However, he always wants to return to the team after the police investigation involving him ends."
"He believes he has debts to pay back to fans and managers and will like a second chance."
"For him, Manchester United is the biggest and best club in the world. If there is a chance for him to come back, he will."
"Barcelona is among a number of clubs interested in signing him. If United gives him the opportunity to revive his career at Old Trafford, he will get the fastest home flight," a source close to Greenwood told The Sun.

Greenwood has not played for the Red Devils since January 2022 since being detained by the police on suspicion of rape and assault on women.
He was also investigated for death threats. Nine months later, or October 2022, Greenwood was again detained for violating conditional free rules.
However, all charges against Greenwood were dropped in February 2023.
This situation made Greenwood have to be loaned so that his career would not stagnate. Sure enough, he stole the show with Getafe.
He has scored five goals in 18 games in all competitions this season.
This slick appearance made a number of clubs interested in recruiting him. In fact, the clubs have prepared proposals to Manchester United.
However, when many clubs have shown interest, Manchester United has opened a Greenwood opportunity to go home.
Red Devils' new minority shareholder, Sir Jim Radcliffe, this week hinted Greenwood could return to Old Trafford.
"This is a new decision. I can talk about the principle. I will not talk about Mason."
"The principle is the most important. We will face other problems in the future."
"You are dealing with young people who are not always raised in the best condition, who have a lot of money and they don't always get the guidance they should get."
"What we need to do when we face such a problem is to understand the real impact, not the hype."
"Then we need to make a fair decision by considering the club's values. That's what we need to do and that's how we deal with it," said Radcliffe.
Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Greenwood was getting closer to moving to Camp Nou early next season. Barca has been monitoring the former England player.
The La Liga giant hopes to reach an agreement soon and make him a Barcelona player by June 2024.
Greenwood previously told his advisers that the transfer to Barcelona would be a 'dreid move'.
However, Manchester United manager Ten Hag is open to reintroducing the forward to the first team at Old Trafford, more than two years after his 229th and final performances for the club.
The appearance took place in January 2022 before he was dismissed and detained by the police.
"Ten Hag has always wanted to keep Mason, but that decision, in the end, is out of his control."
"If there is an opportunity for the player to come back, then he will immediately become an important part of Ten Hag's plan," said a source of The Sun again.
