Jasa Marga: Six Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Sections Have Entered The Construction Stage

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) said that six (6) sections for the construction of the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road have gradually entered the land and construction acquisition sessions.

Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur said the six (6) sections were Section 1 Yogyakarta-Simpant Interchange (SS) Banyurejo, Section 2 SS Banyurejo-SS Borobudur, Section 3 SS Borobudur-Magelang, Section 4 SS Magelang-SS Temanggung, Section 5 SS Temanggung-SS Ambarawa and Section 6 SS Ambarawa-JC Bawen.

JSMR will also build the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road which is part of the Joglosemar (Jogja-Solo-Semarang) Road Network.

"The Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road and the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road are part of the Joglosemar (Jogja-Solo-Semarang) Road Network," Subakti said as quoted on Saturday, February 24.

According to Subakti, the construction of toll roads in the Joglosemar network is expected to boost the economy of the surrounding community and encourage investment in the regional tourism sector.

"It is hoped that the connection of this road network can connect various tourism destinations around the Jogja-Solo-Semarang area to facilitate the flow of distribution of goods and services on the island of Java," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the House of Representatives, Aria Bima, said that the PSN that had been built by the government together with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) had shown significant progress. It even provides great benefits for the national economy.

"The development of transportation infrastructure such as toll roads has a domino effect on the regional economy, both to facilitate the distribution of goods and services. With this project, it is also hoped that it can stimulate economic activity, encourage investment and open up job opportunities," he said.
