Former Head Of The NTB Dompu Disperindag Divonis Higher At The Appeal Level Of Corruption Cases

The panel of judges at the appeal level at the West Nusa Tenggara High Court sentenced former Head of Industry and Trade Office (Disperindag) Dompu Sri Suzana in a corruption case in the procurement of metrological equipment complete with other facilities and infrastructure for the 2018 fiscal year.Spokesperson for the Mataram District Court Kelik Trimargo in Mataram, Friday, said that the panel of judges at the appeal level imposed such a crime by changing Sri Suzana's first-degree court decision with number: 21/Pid.Sus-TPK/2023/PN Mtr."So, in the appeal-level decision, the judge changed the sentence imposed and the replacement money," said Kelik.In addition to criminal penalties, an appeal-level judge consisting of Heru Mustofa as chairman of the panel of judges with members of Cening Budiana and Diah Susilowati, imposed a fine of Rp. 50 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.Then, the judge at the appeal level stated that the defendant's deposit money to the regional treasury was Rp. 167.5 million as money to compensate for state financial losses.The judge in the verdict also determined the period of arrest and detention that the defendant had served so that it was reduced entirely from the sentence imposed."The judge also determined that the defendant should remain in city custody," he said.The judge in the verdict with the number: 1/PID.TPK/2024/PT MTR, dated February 22, 2024, also stated that the defendant's actions had been proven to have violated the indictment of a subsidiary public prosecutor in accordance with the first instance court verdict.The indictment relates to Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.Previously, the panel of judges at the first instance sentenced him to 1 year in prison with a fine of Rp. 50 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.Regarding the replacement money of Rp. 167.5 million, which was the result of an investigation by the Dompu District Inspectorate, the judge asked that it be returned to the defendant Sri Suzana.
So that in the first instance court decision, the judge did not charge the defendant to pay the replacement money.
