Ojol Life Driver Sebatang Kara Found Dead Rotting In Boarding House
JAKARTA - A man named Syafriadi (41) was found dead in his boarding room, Jalan Swadaya Raya, No. 25, RT 002/07, Duren Sawit Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, February 13, afternoon.
The victim is known to work as an online motorcycle taxi (ojol). He lived alone for 2 years in the boarding room.
The death of the victim was first noticed by two witnesses named Arizandi and Mayang who smelled an unpleasant odor, similar to the smell of the carcass from their house. Both of them had time to look for the origin of the unpleasant aroma at his house, but were not found.
The two witnesses then suspected that the victim's room, which was the place where the bad smell came from. After checking from the ventilation of the victim's room, it turned out to be true that the smell came from the room where the victim lived.
The two witnesses had knocked three times, but there was no answer from the room occupants. Then Arizandi opened the door and it was found that the victim was already dead in a supine position.
"The victim's death has rot," said the witness in the official report.
The case was then reported to the local RT and forwarded to the Duren Sawit Police. After identification, the INAFIS team found bloodstains allegedly from the victim's vomit. The victim's body was then taken to the RSCM for further investigation.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police, AKP Kasno, said that there were no signs of abuse on the body.
"There were no signs of violence. From the testimony, the victim's witness was sick," said AKP Kasno when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, February 13.
Furthermore, the victim lived to contract alone for two years. He works as an online motorcycle taxi.
"No (no drugs were found at the crime scene)," he said.
Meanwhile, the case is still being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police. The police are also still looking for the victim's family.
