100 Bareskrim Detainees Can Choose A Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) provided a polling place (TPS) at the Bareskrim Polri detention center. So, 100 detainees can exercise their voting rights in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) on February 14. "In the Criminal Investigation Unit there are about 100 prisoners who have the right to vote," said Head of Tahti Rorenmin Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Gatot Agus Budi Utomo when confirmed, Tuesday, February 13. "According to the results of coordination with the KPU South Jakarta City, 1 TPS will be prepared at the Bareskrim Detention Center to serve registered detainees and have the right to vote," he continued.Regarding security in the voting mechanism, the police were not directly involved. This is because the KPU has appointed several direct security (pamsung) and the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS). "There are 7 KPPS and 2 Pamsung officers who have been appointed by the KPU," said Gatot.
