Khofifah Invites Residents To Use Vote Rights On February 14

PAMEKASAN - Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa invites all elements of society to play an active role in the success of the 2024 General Election, by coming to polling stations (TPS) and using their voting rights in the elections held on February 14, 2024.

"So, on February 14, 2024, let's come together to the TPS, use our respective rights of choice, because in order to determine the future of the nation," he said while attending a prayer for the safety of the nation in Pamekasan Regency as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

The governor said safe and peaceful conditions ahead of the election must be maintained through various efforts, both physical and spiritual efforts, including through prayer.

"All of our efforts and hard work must be accompanied by prayer. KPU works hard, Panwas works hard, everything must work hard, but everything must be accompanied by prayer. Hopefully, the 2024 General Election will be safe and conducive," said the governor.

A number of scholars attended the safety prayer event, including the caretaker of the Ora Pesantren Aji Sleman KH Maulana Habiburrahman alias Gus Miftah, the chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Teachers Association (PERGUNU), KH Asep Saifuddin Chalim, the Chairman of PCNU Pamekasan Taufik Hasyim, and representatives of the Caretaker of the Islamic Boarding School from four districts on Madura Island, namely Sumenep, Pamekasan, Sampang, and Bangkalan Regency.

In addition to attending the national safety prayer, Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa also attended dhikr, prayer and prayer in the context of Isra Mikraj Nabi Muhammad SAW and Harlah Ke-78 Muslimat NU which was held by the NU Muslimat Branch Management (PC) of Pamekasan Regency at the Batu Ampar Cemetery Parking Park, Pamekasan.
