Become A Suspect, Oh Young Soo Withdraws From Big Family Film

JAKARTA - Actor Oh Young Soo has officially resigned from his latest film, the Big Family directed by Yang Woo Seok. This is related to the sexual harassment case that dragged his name.

Today, Monday, February 5, representatives from Lotte Entertainment announced that Oh Young Soo's role will be replaced by actor Lee Soon Jae.

"Oh Young Soo resigned from Big Family. Lee Soon Jae will take on his role," the production house said on the same day.

Big Family is the latest film to tell the story of grandchildren visiting a restaurant called Pyeong Man Ok and his business will end because the child chooses to be a monk.

This film also stars Kim Yun Seok, Lee Seung Gi, and Kang Han Na. It is not yet known what they will play in this film.

In November 2022, a woman reported Oh Young Soo for unwanted physical contact in 2017. Oh Young Soo's side denied it during the investigation process.

"I just held his hand to show the way," the artist said.

Now, the prosecutor is suing Oh Young Soo for one year in prison for the incident. The trial is scheduled for March 15.

Oh Young Soo is a senior actor whose name has skyrocketed in the Squid Game series. He plays Oh Il Nam, a grandfather who has a brain tumor. Thanks to his acting, Oh Young Soo got Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globe in 2022.
