Honda Tengah Garap Car Sport EV, NSX Generasi Berikut?

JAKARTA - Honda has launched one of the model concepts of the Seri 0 which will be the forerunner of its future electric vehicle (EV), Saloon. It is likely that this concept will also be the basis of several models, including electric sports cars.

This was revealed by Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe, who said that his party had studied sports cars in the EV era and even researched further at the model's research and development center.

"We have researched EV-era sports cars and are currently in the center of R&D," Mibe said as quoted by Autocar, Tuesday, January 30.

Although Mibe was reluctant to talk about the technicality of the electric sports car, the car development was running. This further strengthens the possibility that the model is an EV version of NSX.

Meanwhile, the Saloon-based model will be present in 2026 with a series of innovations and technicalities in order to maximize the comfort and fun of driving from reducing battery seeds, but not losing the efficiency side.

The battery is said to be much slimmer than the current EV Honda and the driving force will come from the e-axle drive unit, which consists of motorcycles, inverters, and gyrboks incorporated into a compact unit.

Mibe menjamin bahwa mobil sport tersebut akan memiliki performa dan funan yang jauh berbeda dari model lain yang pernah diluncurkan Honda sebelumnya.

As part of the process, Honda is doing a good analysis of the current electric sports car market, although it does not reveal the name of the competing car studied.

Previously, the premium automotive brand from Honda, Acura, had shown its own vision of electric sports cars, featuring an initial image that hinted at an aggressive front cabin silhouette by imitating NSX's midmachine layout.

However, Acura did not want to reveal the launch date of the model and Honda has not yet linked himself to the project.
