Three Of His Soldiers Died In The Middle East, President Biden: Offensive And Unfair Attacks
JAKARTA - United States (US) President Joe Biden said the attack that killed three of his soldiers and killed 34 others in the Middle East was despicable and unfair.

"Last night, three US military members were killed and many injured in a drone strike against our troops stationed in northeastern Jordan near the Syrian border," President Biden said, citing CNN on January 29.
"While we are still gathering facts about this attack, we know that the attack was carried out by Iran-backed radical militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq," President Biden continued.
Promising Uncle Sam's country "will hold all parties responsible for the time and the way we voted for". President Biden called his soldiers who died "patriots", praised their courage and expressed his sadness, saying it was "a despicable and completely unfair attack."
"Together, we will maintain the sacred obligations that we hold against their families. We will try to be worthy of their honor and courage. We will continue their commitment to fighting terrorism," he stressed.
As previously reported, the umbrella organization of a hardline militant group backed by Iran claimed to have carried out attacks on three bases, including one on the Jordanian-Suriah border.

The attack is a major escalation of the tense situation in the Middle East, where war broke out in Gaza following a Hamas group attack on Israel on October 7 that killed 1,200 people. Israel's retaliatory attacks in Gaza have killed more than 26,000 Palestinians, according to the local health ministry.
Since then, US troops have been attacked more than 150 times by Iran-backed groups in Iraq and Syria, causing at least 70 casualties before Sunday's attack, most of them suffering traumatic brain injuries.
