Accident due to APK

A number of campaign props (APK) for legislative candidates (Caleg) scattered in public facilities such as roads, sidewalks, trees and flyover bridges often harm road users.

After the accident due to the party flag on the Pondok Kopi Flyover, now the accident case due to banners has occurred again in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

An accident between a motorbike and a car on Jalan Laut Arafuru, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta was caused by a banner of legislative candidates covering the driver's visibility.

A car driver named Tamrin (72) said the car he was driving was hit from the left side by a female motorist.

When Tamrin asked the woman about the reason for hitting her vehicle, she was answered because she was not aware of a passing car, because her gaze was blocked by a banner.

"I went to Pondok bamboo, which turned right, apparently from the left he (the motorcyclist) wanted to go north to the right, he saw the left passing empty (vehicle passing) did not know from the opponent that there was my car. I understand because when I got out of the car, I saw and asked, oh yes, the view was not seen covered by a banner," Tamrin told reporters, Monday, January 15.

As a result of the accident, the impact of Tamrin's car was a support on the left side of the door. Meanwhile, the female motorcyclist only fell, but was not injured.

"The motorcyclist just grabbed his hand while apologizing, because I understood the closed banner of his sight. I was also covered with his eyes, so the mother didn't see him passing by," he complained.

After the incident, Tamrin also visited Duren Sawit District to ask about the efforts needed to be made regarding the campaign banner. Then Tamrin was directed to report it to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

"I have come to the sub-district and I want to ask where the East Jakarta KPU is, then I explained that there was a banner that interfered with his view, but the sub-district said it could not or was not authorized. Like the condition, the sub-district said it was not brave because there had to be an authorized person, namely Bawaslu," he said.

For this incident, Tamrin hopes that Bawaslu can act quickly in taking action against his complaints. Before the loss of life due to a traffic accident.
