8 Subdistricts In Muara Enim, South Sumatra Submerged By Floods, BPBD Builds 45 Command Posts

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra (Sumsel) established 45 posts for evacuation coordination and provided services to flood-affected residents. Head of BPBD Muara Enim Regency, Abdurrozieq Putra explained, the 45 posts were established in each affected or flooded village. "So there are about 45 villages covering 8 sub-districts affected by flooding in Muara Enim Regency," he said confirmed in Palembang, South Sumatra, Tuesday, January 16, confiscated by Antara. Abdurrozieq said that at the post BPBD provided services, among others, related to health and food assistance to flood-affected residents.

Currently, the water level has begun to recede by 30 cm compared to some time ago where several sub-districts of water level reached almost one meter. A total of 8 sub-districts affected by flooding in Muara Enim Regency, namely Benakat, Ujan Mas, Gunung Megang, Empat Petulai Dangku, Rattan River, Gelumbang, Belimbing, and Muara Enim.
