Regency Government Sets Landslide On Serasan Island Natuna Disaster Emergency Alert
NATUNA - Natuna Regency Government (Pemkab), Riau Islands, has set the status of landslides that occurred on Serasan Island to be a disaster emergency alert.
The Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Natuna Regency, Raja Darmika, said that the determination was contained in the Natuna Regent's decision Number 41 of 2024 concerning the determination of the emergency status for landslides on Serasan Island.
This status starts from January 14-27, 2024 and will be extended or shortened and upgraded to a status according to the circumstances.
"This decision is one of the results of the meeting that we held on January 12", he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.
The goal is to anticipate and minimize the risks caused by the disaster and to ensure the implementation of quick and precise actions at the time of the follow-up disaster.

Thus, all costs incurred due to the issuance of the decision are borne by the 2024 State Budget, the 2024 Riau Islands Provincial Budget and the 2024 Natuna Regency Budget.
"If it is necessary, we will propose the food needs of the residents, but it all depends on the budget whether it will be approved or not," he said.
Currently, residents are still self-evacuating in permanent housing.
The number of refugees is 170 people consisting of 147 adults and 23 children.
"They are still displaced and the same number," he said.
