Bireuen Aceh Police Arrest 2 Suspects In The 28.5 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine Case
ACEH - The Bireuen Police, Aceh, arrested two suspects in a drug case with evidence of narcotics of methamphetamine weighing 28,525 grams or the equivalent of 28.5 kilograms (Kg) and 5,000 ecstasy pills."Alhamdulillah, we have confiscated evidence of methamphetamine 28,528 grams, 5,000 ecstasy pills, and secured two suspects," said Bireuen Police Chief AKBP Jatmiko in a statement received in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, January 11.Jatmiko said the confiscation of evidence of methamphetamine and suspects was in an operation to uncover narcotics networks in the Bireuen area.The two suspects arrested were M Bin M (40), a resident of Simpang Mamplam and F Bin T (44) residents of Jeunieb District, Bireuen Regency.Jatmiko said that the disclosure of the narcotics crime case was a police commitment in eradicating drug trafficking and networks in his jurisdiction."We hope for support from all elements of society, so that we can make efforts to make Bireuen free from drugs," said Jatmiko.On this occasion, the Head of the Narcotics Unit of the Bireuen Police, AKP Fauzan Zikra, said that the confiscation of evidence of 28.5 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 5,000 pills of ecstasy and the two suspects were arrested at different locations.First, he said, in Simpang Mamplam District with suspect M Bin M (40) with evidence of 930.20 grams. Furthermore, in the Jeunieb District area, the suspect F Bin T (44) with evidence of methamphetamine was 27,598 grams and 5,000 ecstasy pills.
"The threat with a life sentence of life imprisonment, and a maximum of 20 years. The maximum fine is IDR 1 billion and a maximum of IDR 10 billion," said AKP Fauzan.
