AS Roma Vs Atalanta: Penalti Dybala Saves I Giallorossi From Defeat
JAKARTA - AS Roma escaped defeat when they hosted Atalanta in the Italian Serie A match. Appearing at home at the Stadio Olimpico, Monday, January 8 in the morning WIB, Roma drew 1-1. Penalti Paulo Dybala saved I Giallorossi from defeat.
Roma hopes to gain full points after losing consistency. The performance of the unstable team made it difficult for Roma to meet coach Jose Mourinho's target of breaking into the Champions League zone.
In the previous five matches, Roma only won twice against Napoli 2-0 and then beat Cremonese 2-1.
They drew once against Fiorentina (1-1) and lost twice against Bologna and Juventus.
With a bad capital, Roma served Atalanta which was a little more consistent. Roma came close to falling if Dybala didn't save him who scored from the penalty spot
The additional one point made Roma eighth with 29 points adrift of one point with Atalanta perched in seventh place.
Atalanta himself has the same points as Lazio. But La Dea's goal difference is better than Lazio's.
In the tough match, Atalanta immediately kicked off Roma's defense. Gian Piero Gasperini's team's efforts gave positive results because they were already ahead when the game had only been running for eight minutes.
Midfielder Teun Koopmeiners made the host supporters silent. His header, which met Aleksey Miranchuk's mature pass, managed to break into Roma's goal.
Roma responded to the goal with an offensive game. Only their attack gave no results.
Goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi has made two brilliant saves, one of which is Romelu Lukaku. Next, Dybala's cross was saved by Ederson.
The host's attempt to catch up finally paid off after receiving a penalty in the 39th minute. Penalty was awarded following Matteo Ruger's foul on Roma defender Rick Karsdorp.
The referee briefly reviewed the incident via VAR before pointing to the spot. Dybala successfully completed the penalty after goalkeeper Carnesecchi misanticipated the Argentine striker's striker's striker's striker.
The score changed to 1-1. No more goals were created and the score lasted until halftime.
In the second half, Roma and Atalanta attacked each other. The possession of the balls of the two teams is not much different so they have the opportunity to add goals
In the 58th minute, Atalanta actually managed to score a goal through Gianluca Scamacca who received a pass from Koopmeiners.
It was only a goal because Scamacca was judged to have committed a violation first against Nicola Zalewski.
