Anindya Bakrie Becomes CdM Indonesia For The 2024 Paris Olympics
JAKARTA Anindya Bakrie has been officially appointed as Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics which will take place on 26 July-11 August 2024.
The figure who also serves as the General Chair of the Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI) was appointed to carry out this task at the Press Conference to Maintain Red and White at the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC) Office, Jakarta, Friday, January 5, 2024.
"According to what we reported to the Minister of Youth and Sports, we appointed my brother Anindya Bakrie as the Chef de Mission of the Indonesian contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics," said Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, Raja Sapta Oktohari.
"I think deciding Anindya Bakrie's brother to become CdM of the Indonesian contingent is not difficult. If you look at his track record, he is currently the General Chair of PRSI," he continued.

Anindya Bakrie will carry out the task of making history in Paris later. The Indonesian contingent is expected to get more than two golds to pass the highest achievement of the 1992 Olympics at Barcelona.
The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, hopes that Anindya Bakrie can meet the target of making this history.
"Hopefully the 2024 Paris Olympics will become history for the Indonesian contingent as well as closing the 2019-2024 government period. So, this is the last prize. Hopefully Mas Anindya can give the last prize," he said.
Currently, Indonesia already has five representatives who have qualified for the world's largest four-year multi-events. The five names that passed were from archery, artistic gymnastics, and rock climbing, respectively.
The two archery athletes who escaped were Arif Dwi Pangestu and Diananda Choirunisa. Then, one artistic gymnastics athlete who has received a ticket is Rifda Irfanaluthfi.
Finally, two rock climbing athletes are Desak Made Rita and Rahmad Adi Mulyono.
