Sad News From Bintang Mary Poppins, Glynis Johns Dies At The Age Of 100
JAKARTA - British actor Glynis Johns passed away at the age of 100. The news of Mary Poppins' departure was confirmed by manager Mitch Clem today, Friday, January 5.
"Glynis lives her life with intelligence, intelligence, and love of performances, affecting millions of lives," Clem said in a statement citing Variety.

Glynis Johns became an actor in England more than 20 years when he was chosen to be one of the cast of the adaptation of Mary Poppins novel. After his career in England, he began appearing in several American film productions, one of which was The Ref in 1994. He also played a role in the 1995 film While You Were Sleeping, played by Sandra totaling and Bill Pullman.

Born in Pretoria, Africa, Glynis Johns grew up as a theater star at the age of three when she was brought by her grandmother in London theater. She made her South Riding acting debut in 1938. Her Husky voice character made her voice distinctive and easy to identify.
When she starred in Mary Poppins, this film became the pride of Walt Disney when this film became the only Johns film to be nominated for Best Picture.
Glynis Johns married four times in his life. The first marriage was Anthony Forwood, then David Ramsey Foster, then Cecil Henderson, and Elliot Arnold. Her entire husband has died.
Johns is the oldest Academy Award nominee to live after Olivia de Havilland died in 2020.
He underwent his retirement in the United States. Johns died naturally at his home in Los Angeles on January 4 at the age of 100. He left his son, Thomas Forwood, who is a writer and director.
